The Evansville Philharmonic celebrates Bach, Beethoven & Brahms at the Victory Theatre featuring Mary Elizabeth Bowden, Trumpet on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 7:00 PM.

A native of Illinois, trumpeter Mary Elizabeth Bowden is the First Prize winner of the 2012 International Women’s Brass Conference Trumpet Competition. Mary Elizabeth Bowden is currently a member of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and the former Principal Trumpet of the Sarasota Opera Orchestra. She is co-founder of Florida’s Chrysalis Chamber Players, a recipient of a Yale Alumni Grant, and has collaborated in chamber music programs at the Marlboro Music Festival, The Banff Centre and at the Sydney Opera House.

The evening's program begins with Brahms' sublime and most popular works for orchestra, "Variations on a Theme of Haydn." Bowden joins the EPO Principal players, Robert Anemone, Violin
Elizabeth Robertson, Oboe and Leanne Hampton, Flute
for J.S. Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto No. 2". Plus hear the EPO perform Mozart's "The Magic Flute" and Beethoven's wildly energetic and dance like "Symphony No. 7" which is one of the Viennese master's most powerful works.

Adult tickets start at $29 with no additional ticket fees! Tickets can be purchased by calling the Philharmonic Box Office at 812.425.5050 or by ordering online at www.evansvillephilharmonic.org. Tickets can be purchased at the door, two hours prior to the concert. 

Members of CLUB 2030 can purchase a two ticket maximum for just $15.00 each, online only, before 3:00 pm on Saturday. Seniors age 65+ and active military receive 10% off their ticket. $10 Student Rush tickets can be purchased at the Sixth Street entrance with a valid student ID or with a parent, one hour before the concert.
